Love my Flagstaff!  The only problem we have had is a broken hinge on the storage trunk lid (and I think that was user error).  We bought it used - it was a year old and immaculate.  We have camped around 40 nights since we got it and I am very happy with it.  I don't think you can go wrong with this purchase.  What model are you looking at?  Good luck!

We rented Flagstaff campers.  After our rental experiences, we didn't consider the Flagstaffs.  These were same year campers, so it wasn't a case of worn out.

My recommendation is to go to campgrounds on the weekends and see what brands people are using.  The owners will be more than happy to share good and bad with you.

Tenting was low over the bunkends, half-doors which have latches at about 18 inches from the floor, post style dinette tables that never stayed steady or level, fold over galleys, small outside step which I seemed to miss all the time, no brakes, a very lightweight frame, stabilizers that were a nuisance to get in place, and small tires.  Not to mention a very strange looking cooktop.  And I hated those removeable struts for the bunkends!

Now, a lot of these are not uncommon in popups, but live with them and they get old quick.  I personally thought that Coleman/Fleetwood had gotten it closer to right, even in the lower level models.

Now, I do like the slide through storage bin on the Rockwoods...

I want to address a few of those things:

Bunk-end tenting - I don't know on this one.  I camp with my sister and we each have our own bunk, so that's not an issue.

Door - We have a one piece door.  No problems there.

Table - has fold down legs, not a post.  Can be used inside or out.  Again, no problems.

Small outside step - this is similar to what I had on the Pal, so I haven't had any problems or complaints about this.  It's what I'm used to.

Stabilizers - again, no problem.  The stabs are crank-down Bal stabilizers.

Cook-top.  I have only used it to boil water, I think.  We prefer to do all our cooking outside (ex-tenter, and still do it that way).

And, I love the sliding storage bin.  Makes it so easy to access once it's popped up.  I guess in the end, decide on what features are important to you and find a dealer you are comfortable with.

Absolutely, and one of the reasons I didn't originally write my personal objections to the camper was because things do change between years and models.  Should have clarified that point at the time too.  I will note however that I used to work for a dealer who sold Flagstaffs, so I would see them in all sorts of repair and disrepair.
