I just returned from a Memorial Day camping trip at the Milburn Landing section of Pocomoke River State Park. We had a good time and I figured I'd give a little review. The camping section of this park is pretty small, there are only 36 sites, and 4 of these are taken by mini-cabins. About half of the available sites are electric, but none have full hook ups, and there are a couple sites that are tent only.

For the kids, there a baseball backstop, but no bases. There are also 3 playgrounds, the largest of which is a recycled tire playground that my kids had a blast playing on. Since the park is right on the river, there is a large fishing pier that my son fished from for about 6 hours. You can also launch a canoe or kayak from, but it is a carry in only launch.

I would stay at this park again. However, I'd be careful of my site selection. I reserved site 15 and it was nice, but if I picked site 14, I'd have to park the TV on the road since this site is only about 20 feet deep. The back edge of site 15 was about 40 feet off the road.

Some pics of the campground in my camping photos link.

next time try pocomoke state park, shad landing. More campsites.  but very nice.  More circles.  lots of electric. some on river.  Park has great campstore, laundry,  canoe and kayak rental. Great canoe trip around island in river is about 2.5 hours.  fish in the pond or on the river.  Great big pool. 20 minutes from ocean beach, chincoteague (spelling is wrong)  much better than milburn.
