My wife and I recently traded our very dependable coleman sea pine (1999) for a 2005 Utah. We have been very happy with the prior unit, but needed more space, and AC.
The new one is supposed to be new, and we got a good deal on it because of it being last years model. Today brought our first rainstorm, with our maiden voyage being tomorrow. It leaks extensively at the front right corner.
The Sea Pine had the roof that supposedly sagged, although we never had a problem with it. Has anyone had similiar problems with the newer roof??? We have had options from our dealer, which involve more money from us, and are mulling them over, but I wanted to see if others are reporting the same.
Now is the time to see how well they stand behind their product.

If i were you i would be looking to the dealer the warranty the repair work since you bought it "new" all warranties should convey. does the Utah have the two piece roof or the one piece? and how is it leaking?

How is it leaking?  Is there a hole in the roof?  A hole in the tenting?

The tenting bead can slip out of the roof mounting rail if not installed correctly, maybe it's something that simple?

Whatever it is, you purchased a brand new PU covered "bumper to bumper" for one year!  If they need to replace the entire roof, or tent panel, it is covered under your warranty!  Your warranty starts on the day of delivery, regardless of the trailer's manufacturing date.

Trust these "options" and additional monies are not for repairs ...?

If your roof has corner end caps they might not be sealed.  Your camper is new so you should not have to pay anything to repair the damage.  Your roof has a 5 year warranty from Fleetwood.  Good luck and let us know how you make out.:)

The trailer was leaking through one of the screws in the corner of the roof. To our dealers credit, (Alpin Haus in Amsterdam NY) We were traded up to a similiarly equipped 2007 that he had on the lot. The one thing it did not have was the AC, and he said it could be added on later for no charge!! We lost a day of our trip, but went and had a great time.  We had 5 kids and three adults inside in the rain, comfortable with no leaks!! I really do like the layout.
Our salesman called us today to inquire as to how we had done, and we filled him in on a few bugs, and he assured us it will be dealt with when we drop it off this week for AC installation. So far I feel I have been given excellent customer service
BTW, I have been visiting this site for many moons now, and have always found useful info. Thanks for your help on this, and many other topics.
