I was just perusing the end aisles at Target, where all the good bargains are, and picked up a 16 qt roaster oven for $7.48.  This is the type you plug in and set the temp just like a regular oven and can be used for roasting a whole turkey, roast, etc.  Anything you'd use an oven for , you can use this thing.  It was such a good deal I bought three of them to give to my niece and best friend.  I found mine in Fullerton at the Target on Malvern, for those of you in So. Cal.

What a deal. What brand is it? Is it this one?

wow..I'll have to go check it out. probably won't be until Monday.  the next few weeks is whenyou'll really find the deals.. any leftover stuff or onsie twsie things will be marked down to get rid of it....inventory is usually the end of Jan. and they clear it all out so they don't have to count it...most (retail)stores are like that. so I plan on hitting Kohl's next week too

I saw these at my Target - sign said $22.49.  I may have to go back and actually scan the thing to see if it's that cheap.  I even have a gift card I can use!

It's a rival.  You just are addicted to posting pictures!!  It looks like that one (the same basic shape).

Ooooh, Kohl's -- my favorite store!  I go nuts in that store, so I have to intentionally stay away.  Ineed them to send me a 15% off coupon so I can go get some work clothes.  My clients are tired of seeing me in the same things all the time, I'm sure.

My family has sworn by Nesco roasters forever.  I can still remember the Thanksgiving and Xmas turkeys (why is it not spelled turkies  ) being cooked on the kitchen counter in the Nesco when I was growing up.  My mom has since bought me two Nesco ovens, and every Christmas season, we make homemade applebutter in my big one.

Because it would be spelled turkeies (the "y" changes to "ie" if it's after a consonant, when using the word as a plural)
