I have a 2001 Scamper 21B with a Norcold fridge. The pilot light lites but the cold does not reach the fridge itself. Does anybody have any ideas of what is going on with it? On a recent trip I ran the pilot three days on high and got nothing with the fridge itself. Is this something I can fix myself? Please advise.

Thanks

Josann

Have you got the thermostat set on coldest setting? I have a Norcold also, but don't use gas, I use AC. If you use AC you can't adjust the thermostat for colder or warmer, It has to be in the off position. But if you use gas you can
turn the knob for warmer or colder, Or at least that's what I took from the owners manual. Other than that I can't help ya, but it's an idea. Gotta start somewhere I suppose.

I looked at my refrigerator over the weekend, and inside the outside access
door, where the thermostat and lighter are, After the pilot light there is a tube
that looks like it circulates thru the coils. In that line is an off and on valve and maybe that's your problem? once the propane is burned it can't get to the coils to cool anything off because that valve is closed. By the way, I don't remember what model you said yours was, but my instruction manual says for 322, 323.

I got out the manual after typing that last reply, and yes there is a manual shutoff valve inline after the gas is ignited by the burner, so this may very well be your problem. Hope this helps. Let me know.
