What you need to find out is if it is a "high" pressure regulator or a "low" pressure regulator.  High and low are relative in this situation.  High is something like 2 psi while low is 1/2 psi.  True high pressure (like in the tank) is on the order of 120 psi.

Does the stove operate inside or outside the pop-up?  Most stoves meant to operate in the pop-up probably use a low pressure regulator.  The only thing I've ever heard using high is an outdoor stove.

Having said that, I don't know if the grill regulators are high or low pressure.

One other thing - you don't really want a regulator that can flop around.  Something with mounting lugs so that it can be mounted securely while bouncing your pop-up down a bad concrete interstate.

If it is an inside stove you need a low pressure regulator.  I think the BBQ type are high pressure.  I have heard that the RV propane regulators are built to with stand the vibrations of traveling more so than the BBQ type are.  I would take the regulator with you  to the store to make sure you get the right type of regulator.:)
