Signed the papers for our new camper today. Will pick it up on Wednesday! A 2006 Starcraft 2404. Both my DW and I loved the layout at first sight, should have been a sign not to spend 5 more hours driving around looking at other pop ups! Very seldom agree on something THAT fast!
Insurance company gave us a fair price for our old one. Jeep goes in for repairs in 2 1/2 weeks. Hope the hitch works okay until then. Have had 3 people look at it and say it will be okay, but I worry about it taking THAT much of a hit! Only towing the camper home, about 30 miles, and tent camping until the Jeep is repaired, but got to worry about something!!!

Congrats on your new PU.  Hopefully you will have just as many great camping memories in this one as you did the other one!

Glad to hear things are working out!

And like you, I would be concerned about the hitch, too. A few years back I got rear ended, not while towing the camper, but shortly after and I still had the the ball mount in the reciever. That hitch ball speared the front of the car that ran into me (I have a full sized pick'em-up) and resulted in our getting hung-up like two dogs in heat. The hitch had took the full impack and I was worried that something might have got bent in the process. After very careful inspectio(s) ... nothing amiss. Not even a scratch on any part of the bumper. Evidently these these reciever hitches (mine's a class III) are tough animals.

Congratulations on the new camper.  Do you have any pictures of it?:)
