Coleman Destiny tent material to door

I have 1995 Coleman Destiny that I bought from original owner. The tent material is in fairly good shape, but the problem is in attaching it to the door frame. There are a couple of bends in the weatherstripping on either side of the door that makes it difficult to seat in the frame.

Are there other options to this type attachment?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Welcome to PUT.  Do you have the vinyl "tongue" that you have to put into a slot in the door?  My 1980's Coleman trailer had that and it was a problem to install, especially when it was cold out.  On the newer Coleman/Fleetwood trailers they use velcro to attach the tenting to the door.
