Wiring for A/C

I'd like to add A/C to my popup, which has the 14" vent hole and roof support bars already installed.  There is an outlet below the sink that says it is for A/C up to 16 amps. What's the best way to route the wiring?  Do people attach the square flexible conduit to the ceiling and run it behind the curtains?  Thoughts / experiences ?

Thanks!

That is pretty much how it is on my Viking.  When not in use there is a peice of velco that holds the coiled up cord out of the way.

On my fleetwood the cable exits the AC unit and then goes directly into the roof support. comes out on the side of the PU and then is coiled up behind the curtain when not in use. to use, just uncoil and run it to the AC plug.

I was thinking about that too.  Did you drill a hole in the support or was there already a way to get the wire in there?

Also... does anybody ever hardwire into the "A/C" outlet or is it too difficult to work around the sliding beds and collapsing roof to make this worthwhile?

I appreciate the responses!

I just noticed that you are a new member. Welcome to PUT.
My cross brace does have a drilled out hole in the side of it with some rubber molding around the hole. would not be practicable to hard wire the AC unit. for the reasons you stated. I don't know were you live. but for us we only use the AC maybe twice a year. So not having to deal with the power cord every time we pop up is great.

our PU has plastic wire conduit stuckt to the outside of the brace with double sided tape. when it meets the roof, it is screwed in every so often with cable straps.  as mentioned before, it coils up behind a curtain with velcro when not in use.  some people are able to leave the a/c plugged in when popping up and down.  we cannot because the front bunkend covers the outlet up when closed.  good luck and let us know what you do and how it turns out.
