Howdy All!

We had a very intense hail storm (back when it....oh yeah, rained) and the top of my 1976 popup took a pretty good beating.

Just dents all over, nothing punctured all the way through...however, it left a residual problem...the roof sealant started to flake and then just began to fall off all over!

I went ahead and used it in the Rocky Mountain National Park where it rained every day, sometimes pretty hard, without any leaks!

I have the top just about sealant free and want to reseal it to weather proof it....

What is the best sealant to use for this project and the best applique?

I have about a month to replace my Canvass and seal the roof before it cools off enough to start planning this falls trips!

I would appreciate any help and guidance from you old campers!

I came across a pop-up roof patch kit in the RV section of Walmart. maybe you could get the companys name from the package and contact them to buy this stuff in a large quantiy.
Also for your info. you might want to add this web site to your favortives. they might have parts that you need in the future.

Just noticed that you have another thread on furnaces. you might be able to get one from these guys.

Good luck  :eyecrazy:

Hey Recumbentman!

I checked out the link that you provided and even book marked it, however, I could not get any of their products to open...such is the story of my life, lol!

I did send them an e-mail asking about the roof repair and just what I was looking for, and even asked them about the feasability of adding a furnace to my specific year and model...I will let you know just what they say if and when they reply!

Thanks for the heads-up!

I will continue looking here locally to see if their is something I can do without going through my local RV dealer...just not exactly pleased with them you know, lol!

Thanks again!
