Hi Michele ~ looks like this is your first post ... let me at least welcome you to the board!

It helps a lot when you list what year and  the model Popup you have so those fimilar with that particular model might offer some real indepth information.

Usually A/C is a dealer installed option. In years past, a Starcraft would come with an optional package from the factory that would be ready for the A/C to be mounted on the roof. That prep package would include the roof bracing to support the extra A/C weight, a roof vent the exact size and electrical wiring designed to handle the extra amps required. Does the interior roof have a couple of braces running across and does the unit have a roof vent?
Installing a roof mounted A/C is not that complicated, some folks have done it themselves and others have it installed by a dealer. What makes it an easy installation is rather it has the A/C prep package or not.

As for the sway bars, depends on the camper and also what you intend to tow the camper with. Again, knowing the camper model is valuable information.

Gray water tanks are available for most popup campers. There's been a lot of ideas that have been posted here over the years for handling that.
