Seen under a boat wheel in Jacksonville, NC.  This was the only wheel chock.  Credit for photo goes to to DSIL  :U

Is that a bottle of Cheerwine?  Brings a whole new element into the wood/lynx/bal discussions.

Actualy, PJay took that picture. Mikal was putting the stroller away.

That's about the only good purpose I could see for a bottle of Coors Light.  Had that been a bottle of Sam Adams, Fat Tire, Shiner, Leinenkugel's, etc., then I'd say it would be alcohol abuse.

This was outside a Marine base in the South - nobody would have used a full bottle, because someone would take it and teh boat would roll away.

BTW, most of those 20 nothing Marines (my son-in-law is probably the only exception) don't have the refinement to tell the difference between Sam Adams and Coors.

Wait a minute - if PJay is there taking pictures, why the heck have we not seen any of the baby yet????

eta - Finally - and the wait was worth it.  Enjoy that little cutie.

I am out of luck.  I don't take bottles with us camping, so I don't have one of these new fangled wheel chocks.:)

You ought to see what people chock their airplanes with around here.  My favorite was a very quick fix in a very high wind while the pilot went looking for the proper chocks.  To the dismay of his very large german shephard, it was the dog's water bowl!  :p
I watched that darn dog (a fixture of our airport for a couple years) stare at his bowl wondering what to do!  I had to leave before the owner got back, but I'm sure his pooch was super delighted when he got his bowl back! :D

Thought of this thread today as I was reading my Popupar Mechanicics magazine, and an article on changing a flat tire on a car. They reccomend you "Chock the opposite wheel with scraps of wood, tree branches or partially flattened soda cans"[/B]

Well I don't do the bottles either, but I would be interested in a way to chock my wheels when in storage - I am tired of buying wheel chock for all the other campers..   :(

How about something like this:

Long URL Links to Amazon

The "chock thieves" would have to either roll your camper off it or jack your camper up to remove it.  It would be easier to steal someone else's wheel chocks.

Yeah... wow... I have 2 of these in my garage -- they cost about $10 each (less than Amazon).  One for my Explorer, as it has about 2" clearance in front of it to close the door... and the other in front of the small car, so we only have to "barely get it in the garage" and have the maximum amount of room in front of it!

(I would say to "party", but really, so we can open the freezer and get to the bicycles!)
