The velcro around the inside of the door of my pu is pulling away from the metal frame, there is "sticky stuff" still there, but it won't hold it very long. Does anyone know what I can use to "re-stick" this? Thanks for any suggestions!

I had the same problem with the velcro comming loose around the door on our Niagara. I tried resticking it with several different adhesives but they also came loose. Finally, I found some industrial grade velcro at Wal Mart in the sewing dept. I applied it and have not had any further problem. When you apply new velcro, be sure to remove the old adhesive from the metal surfaces first. I did this with a clean rag and acetone. If the adhesive is hard try using some fine steel wool saturated with acetone. I also replaced the velcro on the sides of the bunk ends and have had no further problems. Make sure that the new velcro is "industrial Grade". The adhesive is much stronger......

Apply "Tear Mender" to the back side of the velcro if you are sticking it to fabric....it holds beautifully.

Don't take messing with acetone lightly. That stuff is very dangerous to work with. Please buy the correct gloves to work with and wear a respirator that is rated for acetone.

Acetone can get into your bloodstream, through the skin and it can do a lot of damage to your organs and do respiratory damage. Please don't listen to anyone under 80-years-old that tells you that it's OK to work with. That stuff can have very subtle, long term effects on your body. Please read the precautions on the can and take them seriously. They know what they are talking about.

I use "Goop" to reattach any Velcro that comes loose.  I prefer Marine Goop for that job.  It works very well and you can use the same Velcro.:)
