We have some neighbors about two streets over and around the corner from our house who have an older pop-up in the driveway.  I've seen it popped up getting ready to go out occasionally, but I've never been able to catch them outside to speak with them.

Yesterday, I drive past their house, and they have a big, beautiful Pioneer trailer in the driveway now!  I told Paul I'm going to have to look at their new trailer everyday that I drive home now, and it's going to sit there and mock me!!!  The little pop-up is off to the side of the driveway for the time being (good thing we have big driveways here!)

I have found what I thought were good deals on used hybrids, but he acts like he doesn't even hear me talking about it.  Then he tells me to work the numbers and figure out how we'll pay for it and tuition and braces and my car and all the rest, and if I can figure it out, we'll do it.  Worst part is, David's just as logical as he is!  WAAAAAAAAAH.

Sometimes life isn't fair :(

I have the solution - have your kids drop sports and have them work after school. The money they earn will go towards your hybrid. You tell them it's pay back time for all the $$ you've paid out over the years for clothes, meals; I've seen your boy eat!!!!; school, sports, etc.. If they cry about it - say Life's not fair - better you learn that lesson now rather than later. ;)

Or the other solution - they work after practice/games and tell them they can do their homework when the get home from work. Also tell them that since they're young - they only need 3 hours of sleep.

I figure $6.50/ hr. X 30 hrs. /week = $195 x two kids = $390 /week times 4 weeks = $1,560/month. Shoot you can afford a Class A. Oh yeah, you need to go downtown and get a fake ID for your 16 year old daughter.

Another solution - home school. We won't tell that their teaching themselves. Your kids will love that idea. ;)

I should be on the radio!! Next problem??? Anyone??

Isn't parenthood great......you get to wear old clothes while the kids get all the new stuff......You put your teeth on hold while the kids get theirs fixed.....You get to drive them everywhere and wait for their school event buses to get back while you sit in a hot/cold car.......You get to put your wants on hold while they go to college,etc........But in the end you get the big pay off and I have to believe the reward will be great if not material then emotional and know you are not alone some of us must wait for Soc.Sec. to kick in........Hahaaaaaaa

Griffins works stiching clothes. With his small hands he's able to do very fine needle work on shirts and blouses. His work is quite good. And since I work close to Santa Ana, I can pick him up at lunch time and drop him off at the garmet district for a few hours. I'm also thinking about getting him trained to roll tobacco to make cigars. This trade may come in handly in the future when Castro dies and we can import tobacco from Cuba. That will be big $$$$$. I'm thinking a Class A Alegro and maybe a Volvo convertiable for the wife.
