Awning and Trunk Lid

OK Everyone...I will admit this camping season was especially tough on our camper.  The awning (12') collapsed during a downpour that would have concerned Noah.  The metal framing including the support poles were destroyed so I need a new awning.  The local dealer said it would be $350 plus shipping which is about $125.  Ouch!!!!  The kicker is this is for an awning that is not the same as the original.  They claim I will not be able to get the same one.  Any ideas?  Also, the trunk lid on the camper is falling apart.  There is a plastic ridgid frame with plastic spot welds to the underside of the plastic lid.  The spot welds are failing and the framing is seperating.  I did try some gorilla glue but it does not seem to be holding.  Along with the seperation the lid has begun to crack near the hinge running along the hinge line.  I need to fix this because I do not think I will be able to find a replacement lid.  Outside of drilling through the lid into the framing and using some stainless steel screws to hold the two peices together does anyone have a better idea?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts!!!

Liquid nails or contractors adhesive will stick to the ABS and solve your trunk lid problem. Also Goop will work too. Make sure that all surfaces are clean and dry before applying .. Seam will be stronger if you can apply some pressure  by using clamps or weight while adhesive sets up.

What brand awning was the original?  What brand awning do they want to sell you?  There is ABS adhesive available that will stick the trunk parts back together, although I know that GOOP does stick to ABS.:)
