We just came back from 4 nights at this out-of-the-way campground, which is just a few miles from Tecate, Baja California.  There is a large stand of huge, old, oak trees and about 40 partial hookup campsites, as well as an immense picnic area with playgrounds.  During the week there were three other campers there, at the most.  Flush toilets and showers with hot water were not fancy, but in good order.  We left a day early because the Santa Anas were picking up, and that makes for not so good sleeping.  Oh, yes, the Border Patrol raced around in the middle of the night a couple times, but I don't think they found anybody!  We did some geocaching, lazed around, met snowbirds on their to Baja and went to Tecate.  The price for SD County senior residents is $8/night instead of the posted $12.  We'll go again...probably in the spring.
