Never mind VLR is NOT worth $65/night to me... I'd rather stay at Newport Dunes for that price...or Campland

$65.00 is steep no matter how you slice it, but at least the sites are more spacious and more "nature-istic" at VLR than at Newport Dunes or Campland.  I guess it makes it feel a little bit more like "camping" than "rving"

Chardonnay Mesa over the oaks for me. did they say what sites were open?

Didn't ask specifically, but maybe we could do some sort of conference call tomorrow to the CG.  There are some taken, but according to the woman there still some "really nice" sites still available.  Online reservations weren't working earlier this afternoon.  Let me know what you want to do.  I'm home this evening & off tomorrow, but have a 9:00 dentist appt.  (Happy day off to me!)

You guys are going to have so much fun at Easter.  I'm sorry we're missing it, but I sing in our church choir and Holy Week (Maundy Thursday and Good Friday) is one busy time for the choir, culminating in 3 services on Easter weekend.  There's just no way I could add one more thing to my plate that weekend--even as much as I pride myself on "multi-tasking"

We'll miss you guys!  However, you can come down and visit--you live so close!  You could come down on Saturday for the egg hunt and such--you would just have to get a day pass for $10.  :-)  And/Or, Dee and I are thinking of taking the kids to the Upper Bay Reserve (or something like that) on that Monday...you could meet up with us!

We're going to Vail Lakes Apr. 13-15.  We're in Chardonnay Mesa, sites 69-71.  Jump in quick!  We'll have a BLAST!!!  They've got GREAT mnt. biking in the park -- having a 24 hr. bike "thingy" the next weekend.  Oh, I hope you can go!!!
