I have an opportunity to buy a 2002 Rockwood Roo 232 for ~$7500. The condition of the Roo is excellent from my initial inspection. Would this be a good deal? The wife and I are looking to expand a little from the 2000 Jayco Kiwi17A we have now. Any words of wisdom? Good/bad takes on the Roo? I have enjoyed reading this forum for the past couple of days and plan on keeping up with it.

My husband and I checked out several manufacturers, and we liked the Roo overall.  They seem to put some thought into the styling and placement of things.  We looked at another hybrid line that had the same exact floorplans, and there was a huge difference in the quality.  When we move up, we're probably going with the Roo.

Sounds like a great deal!  It's a 23 footer, right?  Just my size!  Lucky you!

Without knowing any options, the NADA shows this unit as 7940-9570, low-average retail. So, sounds like a pretty good price, if the unit is fault free and usable.

that's what i was afraid of....i think my wife (and you guys) may be talking me into getting a new camper considering i can sense a little excitement in me now. i just do not look at campers enough to know what is a fair price and i do not want to let this one slip away if it is a good deal. from our initial assesment i do not believe the quality or shape this Roo is in will be a question. It has no signs that it was used more than a handful of times and it has 4 brand new tires.

another concern is that the primary vehicle towing it will be a 2002 Trailblazer XLT (inline 6 with 4.2 vortec and 270 horsepower) which is rated to pull 6400 lbs. I just do not want to kill my vehicle or feel uncomfortable driving this either.
