The adapter will be fine.  If all you are doing is running lights you will not get close to drawing 15 amps.  I use an adapter at home to plug the camper in. :)

The 30 amp service defines what is "available" at the post. You may hook up your camper and use 0 amps, and there will be no fire hazard.

We even have a 50 amp plug converter, just in case.

Yeah, what they said.  Your camper will have a 15 amp circuit breaker that will limit the amount of amps that you draw.  Theoretically, you would never even get to 30 amps.  The only limitation is the shape of the plug on your camper, that is where you might need the adapter.

The 15 amp limit is on draw, not input. Watch what you trun on at the same time, might kick a braker. Every 30amp post that I have looked at has a 15 or 20amp outlet also. Carry the adaptor incase you draw a bad outlet.

No matter if it's a 15 amp service or 30 amp, the voltage remains the same. Both of them are 120vac and that's something you don't want to reduce. The only difference between the two services is the load (amperage) allowed. Like everyone else said, you'll be fine.
