I am a mean parent

Dw and I have been in St. Augustine for a week now and are enjoying the fine weather.

We had dd, Sil, ds and his wife down for the past week.

DD and Sil left at 4 am to catch  7:30 am flight to MHt.  DS and his wife will be getting here in about a half hour, spending the day with us and then we will be taking them to the airport for a 6 pm flight to MHt.

I really feel mean sending them all back to NH where they just got a foot of snow and it was 22 degrees this morning.  Oh well, they are younger and can better take the rigors of th NH winters.

Glad you made it there safely.  Hope you have a good time on your vacation.  Tell Terry I said hi.  Have you seen Brenda yet?  Now as far as sending them back to the cold north.  I am camping in cold snowy PA.  I posted some picture on my webshot site.  Have a great time.

Gene I feel the meaness all the way up here.. now get back to camping and quit laughing at all of us still stuck in the cold....(we did hit 72 for 1 day last week)

I'm not quite sure why you are all complaining about the cold!!!  (Ok, it dipped down to freezing last night, and the past couple of days it was only about 50 or so).  But we have been enjoying 70's for more than a week.

Gene - hope you are having a great trip!  (and that you still plan on Bandy Creek with some of the above cold people).

Kids called last night lrom Atlanta.  Their flight was cancelled and they were looking for a hotel for the nigt.  They called around 11 and they were waiting for a taxi to get to a hotel they had managed to get a room in.  Not sure if they got their luggage though.

They are going to be on standby today but they may be stuck in Atlanta until Tuesday.  Airline is picking up the hotel tab.

DD and SIL made it home fine.  No problems on their moring flight.

Kids called and they managed to get out on a 7 am standby flight and have arrived home safe and sound.

We are planning on camping with Ray and Brenda (Mowalker) next weekend.

Terry and I are looking forward to it as they are a couple of very nice people.  We have enjoyed their company on other campingh excursions.

Glad the kids and SIL are going to be okay, sorry we missed meeting them this time.
 
Oh and to answer the question at hand, No you are not a mean parent you are retired, they were merely on vacation which we know is limited.
 
We did have a few cold snaps here this year, however no snow.  50's and 70's forecasted for this weekend.:S

Things have flip flopped and winter is the slow time now.
