Hello,  I have a 1978 Coleman Gettysburg that I am doing a restification on(not a full blown resto, but sprucing her up a bit)   When I crank the top up, the left rear is not working and has to be helped along by hand. What are the steps I should take to get this problem solved.  Thanks for your help.  I attached a pic of the camper.

Hi the lifting arm may be bent/warped?! My dh just straighten one out so it would lift smoothly-had to remove from the trailer and bend back into shape so the arms would open smoothly works great now. Check out the Mr Fix-it section lots of help there!

It's possible that you have a broken lift cable.  You can look under the corner that doesn't work and see if the cable going to it is still under tension.  If it isn't then the cable is broken.  Many (not me) have replace broken lift cables using parts bought at Lowe's Home Depot etc, for less than $50.  Good luck
