Thinking of a trip to the Smokey Mountians this summer

Wow!  That is alot.  We thought of camping there since my brother recently moved to Tenn and we could visit him as well, but I guess maybe we'll just get a hotel!! LOL

Hey...

Check out the Cosby Campground if you want to stay in the park (dry camping) and don't want many crowds. The first-come-first-served site is almost never full, even on busy weekends. Cosby Creek is small water but the fish are fun, there is great hiking (the Mt. Cammerrer Fire Tower (low gap trail) is a brutal climb but worth the views) There are many easier trails as well. Ramsey Cascades is right down the road at Greenbriar... this is an easy trail and there is a really neat waterfall at the end. Plus Greenbriar creek has native brook trout which are the most beautiful fish in the world.

now we're talkin my kind of place.... we love going that way for summer breaks....  if you have never been to Cherokee NC... across mountain from Gatlinburg.... you gotta see it... touristy, but lotta fun.... tubin down river, unto these hills outdoor show, shops all over.... check out Yogi in the Smokys campground on Big Cove Road.... old, but super place on reservation in middle of woods on river.... KOA down street is also nice.... heard Littler River on TN side is nice, but sites are close... have fun...cant go wrong anywhere there...

If your wanting to stay anywhere in Tn. I'd stay at Fall Creek Falls State Park. You can go on there web site and see the pictures, it's the prettiest state park that we have ever been to. It's near Chattanooga.
