1976 Rockwood popup serial number location?

A friend is looking at a 1976 Rockwood 1206 in good condition. We are trying to verify the serial number but cant locate it.

The frame in front of the door has been searched but no luck.

Can anyone help?

Not sure where it might be. A freind had a late 80's rockwood and it was in a cabinet just inside the door. My 76 Skamper has an aluminum sticker on the left front side. Whatever numbers are on it cant be read.  Bought it from an older widow and just took her word.  Havent had any problems.
