Has any camped with a PU at Topsail Hill State Park in FL?  It seems to be a big RV campground with paved sites (which might be nice) and 50AMP.  No grills or ground fire pits from what I can see but looks like a lot of bike riding opportunity.  Any input on PU camping there would be appreciated.  Thanks!

are you still interested in camping at TopSail Camp grounds ? we have camped there before and found it to be very very clean, paved roads and paved camp sites, close to the ocean and perfect for bikes,, down sides are cannot bring golf carts and we found it to be crawling with ground rattlers,,no kidding,,around dusk we seen 6 around our camp site one even on our carpet outside,,the grass brings the frogs and the frogs bring the snakes,,BEWARE,,only other negative was we thought it to be a bit pricey.

good camping;

We camped there last summer and liked it so much that we came home from our trip and made reservations for this summer.  We did not see any snakes where we were.  Check the map carefully before you make reservations.  The sites around the office (1-8 I think) are very small and busy with traffic.  The sites in the back of the park are a long way from the bathhouse.  However, it is a great park and we love it there.  The beach is simply beautiful.  Bring your bicycles if you have them-you can ride your bike to the beach or take a tram which runs every hour.

we camped on sites 111 these sites had palmettos and brush between each site which made for excellent privacy,,but yes, we seen snakes a plenty,,but i would not discourage anyone from going there it is like you said a beautiful park,,and a great place for family camping.
