Washing canvas>HELP!!

How do you wash canvas before you waterproof it? What do you use for soap/cleaner? Use a brush or sponge? Clean & waterproof inside & out?

How's it done folks?

I wash mine with Woolite and a soft bristle brush.

Can woolite be used on old cotton canvas?

Justadad1999 it depends on what your tenting is made of.  Have you checked your owners manual?

wavery I just purchased some Sunbrella cleaner made by 303.   I hadn't heard of it before.  I it at West Marine and decided to try it.  I have a few spots that the Woolite will not get out.
