Help! I cant get my fridge to work using propane

We just bought a 2000 coleman fleetwood Cheyenne.  Everything works great but i just cant figure out that ouside side conpartment where you switch from ac to dc to propane.  I did figure out how to light it and i do see the blue flame and that silver box gets hot, but the fridge wont get cold!  Can anybody help me.

If you lit the flame, then things are probably just fine. It takes a LONG time for these fridges to cool down. Put a room-temperature can of Coke in there. Leave the fridge on overnight. If your Coke is not cold in the morning, then you may have a problem. Call me in the morning!

Be sure that your camper is level when you light the fridge. Also make sure that the thermostat is turned down. If you leave the fridge on with the camper off level, you can damage the fridge. In fact, it may already be damaged.

If the camper is level and the fridge doesn't get cold after about 12 hours, you may want to have it checked out.

Jamie congratulations on the new PU.

The refrigerator takes hours to cool down and it doesn't make any noise.  Light the flame and then go back and check the exhaust vent (top vent) after a couple hours.  If you can feel warm air coming out of the top vent it is usually working.  If fridge doesn't cool on propane, try running it on AC power (power plug is plugged into an electric outlet) and see if it works.  Let us know how you make out.
