Newbie question

I am new here to the boards and the COTOC section.  I live in the Allentown, PA area. I am interested in locating a camping group in my area.  I am currently a tent camper, looking for a pop-up some time in the future.  I guess my questions are there any tent campers in the COTOC, or does everybody have a trailer of some sort.  Any information is about the COTOC is appreciated.

Hello Richard, While most of us do have campers, many of us still tent camp from time to time ( I was just last weekend ). I think most if not all of us started in tents and "graduated" from there.  You are more then welcome to join us anytime and welcome to the board. I am sure tracy will be on soon to welcome you and give you more info on our group but I figured I would drop a quick note in the meantime.

DIW and her daughter have brought their tent.  Tenting is good.  I have a tent or two or three as well as a couple of trailers and probably a popup that is still registered in my name (I have this feeling the neighbor never put it in his name).

Join us, please. Tent, trailer or one fellow and his on stayed in the cap of their pick up truck...

Hi Richard and welcome to PUT and COTOC.  Anyone is welcome to camp with us.  You do not have to have a trailer.  As the others have said most of us started with a tent and some of us still camp in tents once in a while.  Most of our trips are weekend trips.  We usually have a campfire at someone's site each night and a pot luck dinner Saturday night.  The rest of the time we just hang out or do something locally.  You don't have to do anything with the group if you don't want to.  There aren't any dues, or registration.  Someone post they are camping and the next thing you know there is a group trip in the making.  I hope you will join us.
