We have a very small tear in the canvas over one bunk.  It's probably not 1/2 long, but I would like to repair it before it gets worse.  I know duct tape is an option, but it's a new camper (don't ask how the tear got there!) and I'd like to stay away from that.  Is there a canvas repair patch kit or sealant that can be used?  Thanks for the help

I had a similar issue (I caused my tear being an inexperienced first timer!!!).  I used an Iron On canvas patch on the outside (bought from Hancock Fabrics) and then sealed the edges with seam sealer and then 303 high tech fabric guard over the patch area and actually all the canvas.  On the INSIDE I did use duct tape to help keep the tear from spreading.  Mine is in the corner of the bunkend and out of view.  patch cost me about $2.00.

Just repaired several tears in my new fixer-upper. Believe me, the best advice I can give you is the same these nice people reading my cries for help here gave me---iron-ons! Lifesavers! If you are unsure rearding if you get a good seal, stitch around the edges. I patched both the inside and out to be sure.
