Hi, We have just acquired '93 Coleman Destiny Royale.  We are trying to get it into shape so we can use it soon.  The thing is we are having some difficulty finding the curtain slides that our camper uses.  It did not come with any because the original ones were rotted and just plain nasty.  Wish the previous owners would have left some of the curtains behind so we could see what the slides looked like.  I am going to try to post pics of our rails where the curtains go.  Maybe someone here can help us out with this.

Well my pics are too big to be attatched here.  Now what??

Hope this link works.  Got the idea from other people here.
Thanks.

If you go to a Fleetwood folding camper dealer, they will have the proper slides or can get them.  Some people use buttons as the slide for their curtains.  On my 1999 there are plastic tabs that fit over a flat metal piece.  Good luck.:)

Camping Coxes

I got new slide assemblies for both the curtains and the decorative ruffle part from Camping World.  They are snaps on a clear tape that you sew to teh curtain, and then the other piece that receives the snap is attached to the plastic piece that is attached to the inside of the camper.  It was really easy to do.  Look at it this way -- now you have a chance to customize your trailer with curtains of your choice.  Love to fish -- make curtains with fish all over them.  Love NASCAR -- make curtains with racing cars all over them.  Cool!  .

I'm still trying to figure out how the curtain slides could get "nasty."  They usually are covered by the curtains and are out of sight, out of mind.

Hi.  Sorry.  Maybe I was not clear earlier.  The curtains were nasty, moldy and what ever else.  The glides are sewn to the curtains, since they were rotten, the glides were thrown out with the curtains.

you can buy the slides and the curtains from your fleetwood dealer if you want.
if you are going to make your own curtains the slides are very inexpensive.  I got a bag of them for about $2.00 when I needed some replacements a few years ago.

I can't imagine buttons would be cheaper unless you already have several on hand.

My dealer also had boxes and boxes of replacement curtains.  Just measure the size you need and you should be able to replace the curtains, with the slides already sewn in!

Thank you to everyone who has replied.  My nearest dealer and/or Campingworld are about 2 hours drive from my house.  With gas prices the way they are, we are not going to drive on the chance they will have what we need or can even order what we need.  Have been to a couple of non-coleman rv stores and looked in their catalogs but no luck.

Thanks again,
John
