Hello all! I need your help fixing my viking 2460st. Here is my problem, the rear panel is comming apart from the rest of the cmper (mainly top right corner) Of course when it is closed there is no problem but once the bed is out the crack at the corner is more than one inch wide!!! Anybody knows how  ican repair it?Thanks in advance for helping me out.

The right rear of my camper came apart while the kids were on the bunkend.  Thank goodness tlhdoc was there to help me out as well as Shebatam.  We ended up taking the molding off, then the screws out.  Some of my wood was broken so we took gerilla glue and patched that together and let dry.  Once dry, we glued both sides together and then with really long screws, drilled the screws in and let dry. We added a couple of more screws for strength. We figured that this repair was better and stronger than new.  If I could figure out how to insert a picture, I would show you the pics that I took.   But, many thanks to tlhdoc and Shebatam for all the help in fixing my camper.  We also tightened the 4 bolts that hold the a/c on and that stopped the inside leaking of water.  We are the fix-it girls.  :D

Way to go ladies!

The right front corner of our Starcraft was rotted out and pulled away also.  I did the same thing the gals did:
1) Took the ABS "nose" panel off to expose the trailer's wood frame.
2) Examined how the wood frame was stapled to the support frame of the inside cabinets
3) Used glue, and both 1-1/2" and 3" long galvanized sheet rock screws "run-ins" all over the front panel and wood frame to remount it.
4) A little trick on using sharp pointed screws like these; cut the points off with a pair of wire cutters, or stand the screws up on their heads and bash the points flat with a hammer.  This makes them drill as they go in, instead of augering in and keeps them from splitting the wood they go into.

Anyway, when done it was much stronger than how it was originally just stapled together.

Congratulations on the fix.  Hersheygirl described our fix very accurately.:)

Our old Lionel let go on us one night.  So when we got home, we peeled off all the outside trim and used strapping to replace the metal ribbon that was there, then we went and bought 4   4hole L brackets and some flat head hex bolts.  we drilled them in and fastened them to the inside of the box to really reinforce the corners.  The outside if the trailer still looks stock with the flat head bolts and it will never come apart again.

I may have the same thing happening on my brand new 1990 Jayco.  How do you remove the outer panel to get to the frame?

Thanks for the feedback.  I also would like to know how to remove the panel....
