a couple of firsts

Last week we had our first outing. Just a local run to Cherry Creek here in denver. We wanted to see how well the DS was going to sleep in the camper this year.

It was the first time I was going to pull the PU with the new TV, '04 chevy colorado 3.5. I was a little hesitant but it pulled AMAZINGLY well. Much better than I expected. Even better than the old Jeep.

We went out Thursday and came back Sunday.

The DS wouldn't go to bed at 8:30 so at 9 I suggested he stay up and watch Over The Hedge and eat popcorn with us. He went to bed at about 10:30 and slept all night.

Lots of fishing and swimming. good stuff

It did get me thinking I wanted a collapsable type of vinyl cabinet to mount to the top of the ceiling to keep light weight stuff up while camping, paper towels, paper plates yada yada yada. I'll do some searching for that.

Sounds like a nice trip.  I watched over the hedge and ate popcorn with a camping friend a few weeks ago.
