So we picked up the Avalon on Saturday and was I ever a mess that morning as i put the Niagra down for the last time.  I was glad I did it by myself, so no one could see the occasional tear that dropped from my eyes.  I suppose the toughest part was hooking up the trailer to the ol' GMC for one last time.

However, once we hit the walkthrough for the Avalon, those tears went away with a heart filled with anticipation of new memories that will be created.

I also know that some family will feel like they got a smokin' deal on a great used 02 Niagra and create memories of their own.

So I sat down last night as the setting sun shown through the screened windows in the Avalon and tosted those of us who buy new and those who buy used, for no matter who owns the folding trailers, great memories will always be created.

I know what you mean.  The Taj MaHaul has seen a lot of miles and a lot of smiles.  It brought us together as a family in ways nothing else could.

So many memories...from canoeing on the Saco river in Maine (just me and PJay...don't tell the kids) to startling a coyote in California, from popping up so close to the trees that the needles stuck through the screens in Oregon to joining dozens of other pop-ups (and some nice hybrids) in Tennessee; driving 215 miles to go from the south rim to the north rim (and then standing only 10 miles from where we were the day before) to popping up in a parking lot in Rhode Island to attend a class reunion.

She's been from the caves of New Mexico to the Caves of Kentucky to the caves of South Dakota to the caves of Minnesota; She's visted the Amish in Pennsylvania (and will be heading back there this week) and the Amish in Minnesota.  She's seen the Mountains of Colorado, California, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, Oregon, Wyoming, Montana, Pennsylvania, New York, Tennessee and New Hampshire.  She's seen the shores of Lake Michigan, Lake Huron, and the Pacific Ocean.  She's seen lakes and rivers in Arizona, California, Oregon, Montana, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Indiana, Tennesse, and Michigan.  She even took us diamond hunting in Arkansas.

We've used her to visit family in Western New York, Northern New York, and Missouri.  We've used her to house family visiting from New York, Missouri, and Florida.  We've used her to visit museums in Alamogordo, New Mexico; Victorville, California; Baker City, Oregon; St. Louis, Missouri; Lancaster, Pennsylvania; and countless others.

She's thrilled us with visits to more than 20 National Parks; humbled us with visits to at least 4 battlefields in three states from at least three wars; she's stilled us with hundreds of campfires, and followed us faithfully for tens of thousands of miles.

She's popped up in deserts, forests, on volcanoes, on praries, and in valleys.  She's stood up to temperatures from +111

Congratulations on getting your new Avalon-I think you will love it. The power lift is great-especially when you arrive at your campground late or tired. We also enjoy the u shaped dining area-when not needed as a dining place, we take the table down and put cushions down and have a huge lounging area.

Congratulations on your Avalon.

We looked at one right after we bought the Niagara, I wish I had seen the Avalon first!

Oh well, maybe next time,

Sherry
