Well we just got back from our first semi dry camping weekend I say semi cause there were showers and bathrooms near by, but we were totally self sustained. The battery set worked great we were able to run our fan all night long without any charging which was a major requirement from the wife. I was also able to set up and use our Mr. Heater which worked out great as well. Also happy to report that the awning mod I did worked out fine even though one of the poles was a little bent.   So except for my son rolling out of bed in the middle of the night everything went great and now that the wife sees that it

Now I just need to do a axle flip so I can get off road more.

If you haven't read it in other threads, take a look at a web based tool I'm working on for dry-campers called the DC Configurator. It's a tool to allow you to plan your DC consumption, or after the fact to calculate battery consumption.

It's in beta right now and I'm looking for comments and suggestions to make it better.

I need to do my axle flip (or more accurately move the axle under the spring pack) too. There's two dry camps we always used to tent camp at that I know I can't get my popup to in it's current configuration.

Pretty cool configurator.

Congratulations on the successful dry camping trip.  Even if the campground has showers, you were dry camping.  NO HOOKUPS.:)
