I need some help.  My wife who is away at a family reunion just called.  On the trip there the cord from the car to the trailer which conects the brake and running lights disconected from the trailer.  She can not get it reconnected.  Seems there is an adaptor plug now missing that was on the trailer that connected the cord which is still attatched to the Van.  Is that an easy fix?  Where would she go to get it fixed?  Also are there different types depending on the model?  We have a 2003 Viking pop up.  Any help would be appriciated.

Thanks

WELCOME TO PUT!!!!

Unfortunately, there is no easy answer to this one.

It depends on the type of connector that is on the TV (and there are many) and the type of connector on the trailer (and there are many) there could be 20 different combinations and it would be very difficult to tell without actually taking the trailer into a place that stocks a lot of different types of connectors. One thing that she may be able to do is take a digital picture of each connector and and take it around to auto parts stores.

In my opinion, the best solution would be to go purchase a complete new 7-pin set-up and have it installed on the trailer and the TV. That way you will be confident of what you have without having to mess around with adapters. You may mess around for days trying to find the correct adapter and in the end never find one. On the other hand, she may drive in to a parts store and find one at the 1st stop. However, this may eventually happen again and drive you crazy.

Good luck and keep us posted. :D
