Being here in NorCal (Mendocino County) we have tons of CG

Campaholics

Tops on my list, Interstate SP, WI.  There is a campsite with lots of shade about fifty feet above the St Croix river.  About a ten hour drive from home, so we have only been there once or twice.Devil's Lake SP, Govenor Dodge SP, Yellowstone Lake SP, and Kettle Moraine State Forest Southern Unit (all in WI) are also near the top of the list.

D.L. Bliss State Park the Beach Camp Area, by far the best campground in the State of California. Sites 156 and 153. The best month to go is August because the water temperature at the lake will be at its highest.

Also, Wishon Campground at Bass Lake is great.

Camping in Blackwoods campground in Acadia NP is my favorite campground.  We go every year or two.  It is dry camping, but they have flush toilets, but no showers in the park.  There are showers just out side of the campground and they are kept clean.  We have a cassette potty/shower combo in the camper for campgrounds that don't offer showers.:)

Mazama campground in Crater Lake National Park.  Clean restroom facilities, large sites (though the space for your camper is fairly tight) with lots of vegetation separating you from other campsites.  We loved the smell of the fir trees that were inches from our camper.

I don't think they have water or sewer hookups, but they do have some electric sites, and they now have some reservable sites.
