2003 Palomino Colt HELP

Okay so DH went and picked up the PU 1st one and guess what?  He can't remember how to put it together.  Yes, I told him to take pictures while he was at the dealership, yes I told him to take the camcorder and video the dealer setting it up.  For that matter I also told him to make sure HE set it up.  Guess what?  None of the above happened.  He did watch the dealer set it up and can remember most of it.  That is except for the two rods that he hasn't a clue where they go.

Can anyone help?  Rods are estimate of 5 feet long, hollow, one end has nothing just cut straight off, other end has a little black rubber piece that has an eye hole on it maybe an inch in diameter.  Any clues?

Could they be the bed platform supports?? Maybe awning poles??
