I picked up my 2007 Palomino Yearling 4103 today.  At the dealership they went over all the systems everything was working fine(plugged in to shoreline)  I came home and I set up the pop up to make sure I remembered everything. When went to turn on the inside lights nothing happened, I plugged the shoreline and an alarm started sounding and it was coming from the power converter and still no power.  The converters owners manual is no help at all.  What is going on can anyone help me get power?

Does your pop-up have a galley that "folds over" or lowers in some way?  Many of those have a switch that shuts off the interior lights.

The alarm is new to me; mine doesn't have an alarm (that I am aware of) in the power converter.

Also, make sure the fridge is shut off (or at least that it is not set to "12 Volts" or "Battery").

I'm new to this forum mostly because there are a whole lot of people here who are smarter and more knowledgeable than me! But let me give this a try. It sounds as if you have a low or dead battery.

I'd be willing to bet that the alarm you're hearing is not coming from the power converter, but from the LP Gas Alarm (this is a classic "low battery" symptom - the LP Gas Alarm will sound if your battery voltage falls below a certain point). The other reply was right on - check to make sure your fridge isn't set to "12V".  (Possibly the dealer left it on while he was showing you how everything worked)  Running your fridge on 12 volts will run your battery down quicker that you can holler "honey, would you get me a cold one?" (and please don't ask how I know this). But anyway, check to make sure everything is turned off. Then charge your battery. Now, I'm not a big fan of charging the battery from the power converter. If you have a good quality battery charger (and since you're an RV'er, you DO have a good quality battery charger, right?) go to the battery box and disconnect all the wires, making sure you know where to hook them back up to. Then hook your battery charger up (make sure the charger control is set to "deep cycle") and let it charge overnight. This should solve your problem. (And if you don't have a battery charger, go ahead and charge the battery overnight from your shore power - again, walk around and make sure >everything< is turned off!).  Hey, and if nothing else, it's still under warranty. Haul it back to the dealer and tell 'em to fix it!
It's important to make sure that everything is turned off while you charge the battery. Especially the fridge. A typical converter can't supply enough power to both run the fridge and charge a discharged battery.  I hope this was helpful.

You left out, "Better looking" :p

WELCOME TO PUT anyway.............

Nice post.....I would just add one thing..........check the battery water (each time) before you charge the battery.

I won't tell you who neglected to do that (before this weekend) and now has to buy a new battery  :p .

I have a 07 Palomino 4123.  I also had the same issue, but after several hours of camping with the shore line plugged in!  The dealer had to install a new power converter!
