Refurbishing 1986 starcraft

I am looking for some pictures of how a swing out, push up, kitchen is constructed. We are gutting our current starcraft and the kitchen is hinged with a back prop that supports it on the floor for travel. However years ago we had a starcraft venture with a kitchen that nested for travel, with you unlatching a hook and eye combiniation and then swinging it out and pushing up to latch it in place. Any information on constructing or pictures of such would be appreciated.

ARe you talking about the typical cabinet-over-cabinet that pulls forward and up?  like this one?

if so, they're pretty common and pretty simple - a special set of hardware hooks the smaller bottom cabinet to the larger top one, and you can get them at camper stores.

Yea, sort of, the one I had in mind wasn't that deep on top, probably about 6-8 inches. What I need to know is howthe hinge system is constructed inside.  I know they use a hook and eye to release and stay in place.

ok - you can vary the height -

basically the hardware is a parrallelogram (sp?) with pivots on the corners - one  parrallelogram on each side of the cabinet.  one horizontal bar attaches to the inside cabinet, the other attaches to the inside of the outer cabinet. when the frames pivot at the corners, the top of the unit swings out, up and over.  then you just use a hook & eye to hold the cabinet from being bumped forward and falling down.
