Well I was closing up from our first trip in our 1997 coachmen clipper 1280 and the lift cable broke as I was closing it. I got under today and took it all apart and ran new cable I tried to make sure I kept measurments of all the placements of the swags. Put it all back together and tried to lift it and the back comes up about 3 inches faster than the front. My question is if I place another swag 3 inches higher on the cable should that even it out are is there a better ways to equal both ends out?

I have a 1993 Coleman Cap Cod.  On page 39 of the owner's manual it describes "top adjustment".  I'm not sure if your system is the same but here goes.  It says:
1. Crank top approximately 12" high.  Extend front and rear bed assemblies approximately one foot past body rails.
2. Lower top down on extended beds until crank stops to relax cables.
3. Remove pully pin and relocate pulley to an alternate hole position. (Each hole should add about 1 1/2" to that particular corner to a maximum of 3" adjustment available at each corner. Do not over adjust or canvas and weather seals may be damaged.)
4. Raise top and return beds to travel position.

Good luck!!!  I will be attempting to adjust mine this week-end.
