emptying potapotty

How does everyone empty their portapotty into the hole in the dump station with out splashing? Do you attach a short hose? When it is only  half full it is not a problem, but when it's full it can be messy. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I wouldn't even think of emptying my grey water tank without a hose.  :eyecrazy: And rubber gloves.   :eyecrazy:  :eyecrazy:

Make sure that the slide (that you use to flush the toilet) is opened a crack. That will allow air to enter the tank as the liquid is exiting. This will cut down on the splashing a lot.

Wayne's suggestion is correct, but on some models, there may be a button on the bottom to push, as you are turning it upside down. This lets air into the tank and helps keep it from splashing.

With our porta-potti, we never used a hose. The button trick and careful placement simply worked. Then again, I'm not easily grossed out, and the wife isn't either. We are both nurses.

You would be the first person I'd ever seen at a dump station without them.  It's not the weak stomach, it's "why be disgusting when you don't have to be?"

You can be disgusting if you want; I'll wear my gloves (like everyone else).
