About a month ago, my husband and a buddy of his installed a 13,500 BTU rooftop air unit on our 10' coleman pup. It is working great, except even here where it's humid, it will freeze you out at night. Can't seem to find the right spot for nighttime on the controls; I turn the fan down to low and air to low. It does kick off and on but not doesn't seem to kick off often enough (it's a new duotherm). I told DH we are not going to be able to be total shade campers anymore, LOL! Anyway, back to the subject: we are hearing a popping noise every now and then when we walk around in pup and it's coming from the roof. At first I thought it was something like a walnut, etc., which I've heard before, but he says no. He thinks A/C unit may be on too tight, and I mentioned that if it is it may be in a bit of a bind, which could be causing the pop. Just sounds like something falling out of a tree. So he is going to loosen the bolts and retighten them. Anyone else ever experienced this? Also, we are feeling a very slight vibration in the beds when the unit is running. Is this normal? It's not enough to keep you awake, etc. but I would like it to go away just the same. Thanks for any info! :)

Yeah, I think there is.

Did you put a support beam on your roof? Most roofs require additional support when installing AC.
