Need Help installing water pump

Hello, I have a 1998 Palomino Colt. I am upgrading the trailer buy adding a water pump. I am not what you would call a wizzard with electrical systems so some help from the general pop up community would be great. I have purchased a SHURflow 12V demand pump 2.8 gal a min. rated at 35psi. I have purchased all new pluming and fittings and a switch to turn the pump on and off. It seems cut and dry but I dont want to take any chances and fry the pump or even worse the power supply. The camper does not have a 12V battery system. Im sure that someone out there has done this. Any advice or tips would be great. Thanks.
