Leaving tomorrow morning for Turquoise Lake near Leadville for a few days.
This time we're staying at Molly Brown, one of the several USFS CGs on the lake.
We've had reservations since January, as all of the good CGs fill up early.
Last year, I told myself we would not try this on a holiday weekend anymore, but here we go again. Will post our results when we return.
(Wish the CG had WiFi for those slow, lazy afternoons when everyone else is napping or reading.) :book:

Ok, we're back.
TL was awesome. best described in photos, but even that doesn't do it justice.

Day temps in the 70s, nights in the 50s. Plenty of high-altitude mosquitoes and biting flies. Pretty sunsets; quiet at night; good fishing; stars at night; windy from time to time; nice CG hosts (from Texas).  Swimming is allowed, as are motor-boats, canoes and jet-skis.

No electric, no water (faucets scattered thru campground), grey-water dump; restrooms with flush toilets, sink and 15A plug for razors etc.; black-water dump at exit.

There you have it.

Thanks for sharing the photos.  My Dad (who just passed in February) and I sat on the bank of that lake when I was about 13 years old - he told me to think of that place when I needed a calm picture in my mind - it's just the way I remember it in my head!!

Thanks Again!
