Am new to PUP world. We have a hardside Palomino that we have yet to take out for real camping (driveway doesn't count). The plug on the outside of the PUP is a male receptacle but if I plug that end in I'm left with the female and it obviously doesn't go into a plug outside the house as this needs to be male, too.  So...dumb question - is there some sort of adaptor that is needed, a special extension cord? Help!
Thank you.

Just so I'm clear about this...do you have a cord that is female (has small holes) on both ends?

If I understand correctly, you would need something like THIS.  You would plug the cord from your PUP into this and the adapter into your wall socket.  You can buy these at any Wal-Mart, camping supply store or dealer.

I am confused.  Do you have a power cord that is permanently attached to the trailer or one that you can remove from the trailer?  What is the end of the power cord?  Usually you have a 30 am male plug on the end of the camper power cord.:)

I could be wrong but it kinda sounds like you

To echo what has been said, I think you are looking at a courtesy outlet on your Palomino.

I don't know what year you have.  My '89 TXL came with a cord under the dinette seat that stashed behind the converter.  There is a small 'port' that you feed the end out to plug into your campground service.

Check back with us as to your progress.

One modification I made when I installed AC was to add a second AC line, as the 15Amp breaker on the converter won't drive an AC along with your television, microwave, etc.

Good Luck,

Todd
