we are pretty new to all of this.  Our camper came with a screen room held on to the camper with velcro.  problem is we live in So. Florida and with the heat the velcro does not stick.  We were hoping to use snaps to fixt the problem.  Where do you find them.  or are there anyother suggestions.
thanks for helping a newbie

Most marine stores carry a variety of snaps. Even Home Depot carry them.

I would suggest the "Twist Lock" type. You will need to purchase a special punch for the fabric but they don't cost that much.

Here is where I buy all of my canvas work supplies on-line:

Look under "Fasteners & tools". All of their fasteners are stainless steel so rust is not a problem. Be aware of "Brass" or "Zinc" snaps. They are often brass coated steel and they will rust and be a real mess when used outdoors.

I used canvas/leather snaps at each corner and it made a huge difference. With one in each corner there is no place for the seperation of the velcro to begin and it does not start coming down as you work your way around the awning putting the screenroom up :p
