Going to purchase a Prodigy in the near future.

I understand from reading online that there is a pre-made wiring harness for Prodigy that will mate it directly to my 2002 Toyota Sienna van. This is good, I can wire/splice stuff but why wreck what's there if you can plug direct?

Most of the ones I've seen on-line says the harness is a direct plugin to van wiring IF the van has the tow package installed.

Can anyone confirm this is true I don't think our van has a tow package, but I'm not %100 sure either....

Do you have a 6 or 7 pin plug at the back of your van? If you do then you have a tow package, if not...well you  know.
Also might be listed in your paperwork when the van was bought new.
I have the Prodigy on a 2004 GMC Sierra. I used a premade wiring harness. I had to add a circuit breaker and a bolt, don't remember what the bolt was for tho.,to the fuse box under the hood to get it all to work but the wiring harness sure was nice.

B]You won't be disappointed with the Prodigy brake control. Just set it up as the instructions tell you too. I have one installed on my Chrysler Minivan and you never know the PUP is there under easy or extreme braking conditions, in other words it works great. Our PUP is a Jayco 1006 and has AC Refrig. Water heater and it weighs around 2600 lbs loaded. We have pulled it to the Rocky Mtns twice and never encountered any problems. We get between 15 - 17 mpg driving 60 - 65 mph. Good luck and have a great day.
