My new to me Camplite has 10" wheels that are a little too plain for me. Someone told me that 4 lug 10" golf cart wheels will also work. Does anyone know if this is true? I want something nice like the newer units have.

thanks

Along with golf cart tires you have to check that the rims are "road speed rated". Since golf carts aren't in most cases cabable of highway speeds many of the tires and rims are not rated for highway speeds.

As a little history lesson the wide low profile 10" tires were first used on PU's in the 70's in an effort to reduce the overall height of the trailer while still retaining an acceptable weight load rating.
We've had quite a few folks over the years have tire problems related to tire delaers selling them golf cart tires (where the tires were used to spread out the load so they wouldn't tear up the course) and the tires disintigrated due to not being road rated. Look for the ST (special trailer) marking in the size code.
I'm sorry but I can't remember the wheel markings for road rated wheels.

Make sure you get tires rated load range C

I thank everyone for the responses. I just really hate being in the plain white category too long. I see all these fancy golf cart wheels, and thought they would look good. I honestly didn't know that the wheels themselves were speed rated. I thought it was just the tires.
