I/ve been camping as much as possible--like you said, this is prime time camping here in the South. Planning maybe 1 more before Christmas, or maybe 2. Glad to check in here again though. Hope you've all been well!

Saturday:  Watched the Buckeyes beat Michigan. (O-H-I-O)

Sunday:  Now that fishing guide season is officially over  (last trip was Friday), I have 3 days until the In-laws arrive for TurkeyDay, and DW's honeydo list is much longer than 3 days work.  I guess the fact that I didn't get as much camping in this summer as I wanted and the list has been neglected means that I spent a lot of time out with clients this year.

Hope all you who are still camping are having fun.  I may sneak in one more trip if I can find someone to go deer hunting with.

I don't know if I would call it "prime" camping time in the South anymore- at least not in TN.  The leaves are still out in the lower elevations in the GSMNP, but half of the campgrounds have been closed for the year, and the lows at night are in the teens and 20's.  I guess I get spoiled living so close to the Park.  We still do a bunch of day-hiking, but drive home at the end of the day.

BTW...  we have gotten some rain this week, and the waterfalls are looking better than they have in months.

My last planned camping trip of the season is coming up on Thanksgiving long weekend.  After dinner with the family I am heading off to camp with friends.  I sure am glad that the off season should be short.  COTOC is planning its third annual Winter Madness trip in February and a few of us are hoping to camp in January.:D
