Sand Pads didn't fit

I purchased a set of sand pads for a friend from J. C. Whitney.

She owns a Jayco popup around a 1996.

She said that the pads would not fit on the popup stabilizers.

Anyone else ever have this problem?

Were the sand pads specifically for those stabilizers?  You might want to return them for refund, and while probably more expensive order through the dealership.

I found a set of 4 square pads (hard plastic) that can be used with the stabilizers alone or with sand-pads -- great for not so good terrain, sand or mud.

Another option you/your friend might consider is cutting some squares out of plywood or maybe small 2x4 blocks.

Best wishes.

Gene if the pads are loose on the jacks, they can get clear plastic tubing to put over the long bolt.  I had the same problem and purchased the tubing at the hardware store.  I also spray painted mine black.  It is wearing off a little, but still look ok.:)

Thanks for the suggestions.  I am heading over to her place in a coupel of days and will take a closer look at the problem.

I should have looked at the stabilizers before I bought the sand pads.

The stabilizers are the type that you adjust by pulling out and down and then adjust the tension by using a metal rod.  They have small feet on them and a sand pad cannot be put on.

Oh the swing down jacks.  I like the crank down jacks much better.:)
