Hi Everyone ,
We are planning a trip to Durango Colorado this summer.  Does anyone know of a good Campground to stay at?  We also may go to Ouray for a  couple of nights.  Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Several years ago, we stayed at a National Forest campground about 15 or 20 miles north of Durango, called Haviland Lake.  It was very nice, and nicely located for activities in Durango (train, etc.) and points north (gorgeous San Juans, Silverton, etc.).

Like all NF campgrounds, no hookups.  If you need hookups, I'm guessing you'll have to stay in Durango itself, and probably at a KOA-type campground.
